Oman Air (WY, Muscat) has taken delivery of its maiden B787-9 with A4O-SC (msn 37168) arriving in Muscat direct from Everett on February 24.

In addition to this airframe, which is leased from CIT Aerospace and equipped with 258 Economy and 30 Business Class seats, Oman Air will lease three more B787-9s from Air Lease Corporation with deliveries to run from 2018 through to 2020.

A4O-SC will be used on Oman Air’s European and Far-Eastern sectors. As previously reported, schedule data indicates that effective March 1, 2017, the Omani carrier will tentatively deploy the widebody twinjet on daily flights between Muscat and Bangkok Suvarnabhumi, Thailand.

Aside from this new delivery, Oman Air's fleet currently consists of four B787-8s, six A330-300s, four A330-200s, five B737-900(ER)s, twenty-five B737-800s, one B737-700, and four E175s.
