Afriqiyah Airways (8U, Tripoli Mitiga) will wet-lease a Dash 8-100 from Malta's Medavia (Malta International) to run its upcoming scheduled charter flights connecting Libya with Malta International.
ch-aviation understands the aircraft to be used will be Dash 8-100 9H-AEW (msn 222).
As previously reported, 2x weekly flights from Misurata will launch on February 5 followed by a 2x weekly service from Brak on February 9. An existing Malta-Tripoli Mitiga return service currently operates 3x weekly.
Ticket sales will be coordinated through the Afriqiyah General Sales Agent in Malta, PLANit Travel.
