Air Peace (P4, Lagos) Chairman Allen Onyema says his airline has been granted regional and international traffic rights by the Nigerian government.
“The Federal government has given us permission to go fly to Niger, Ivory Coast, Gabon, Ghana, Senegal, Cameroon and we are planning to hit South Africa and Congo," he told The Nation newspaper. “In the long term we are looking at Europe and Asia."
Should Air Peace go ahead with the launch of flights to Europe, it would be only the third Nigerian carrier to do so behind Arik Air (W3, Lagos) and Med-View Airline (Kano) which plans to start a 4x weekly Lagos-London Gatwick service from November 20 onwards.
Using a fleet of one B737-300, four B737-500s, and one Do328-300, Air Peace currently offers scheduled domestic passenger flights between Abuja, Asaba, Calabar, Enugu, Kebbi, Lagos, Owerri, and Port Harcourt Awolowo.
