Ravn Alaska (Anchorage Ted Stevens) has taken delivery of its first DHC-8-300, N151RA (msn 395), as it grows its fleet under new owners, FLOAT Shuttle (Burbank).
The 26.5-year-old De Havilland Aircraft of Canada turboprop was ferried from North Bay via Saskatoon to Anchorage Ted Stevens on July 3, 2021, still under the code of its previous operator Voyageur Airways (VAL, North Bay) but already registered in the United States and in Ravn Alaska's livery. The aircraft has remained parked at the Alaskan hub since then, Flightradar24 ADS-B data shows. The carrier, formerly known as Corvus Airlines as a member of defunct RavnAir Group, has yet to file schedules for the type.
Ravn Alaska currently operates ten DHC-8-100s, including seven owned units and three leased from Avmax Aircraft Leasing, on a network of scheduled flights in Alaska. FLOAT Alaska, the SPV that owns Ravn on behalf of FLOAT, also owns a single S340B, N364PX (msn 340B-262). The aircraft formerly operated by PenAir, another RavnAir Group carrier, has been stored at Dutch Harbor since January 2019. FLOAT Alaska also owns a single Piper (twin piston) PA-34.
