US-Bangla Airlines (BS, Dhaka) is planning to retire all three of its DHC-8-Q400s and has appointed ACC Aviation to remarket the turboprops.
The Bangladeshi carrier sourced all three units from the second-hand market. S2-AGV (msn 4044) and S2-AGX (msn 4034) remain active on the carrier's domestic routes. The aircraft are 20.8 and 21.4 years old, respectively, and were previously operated by Augsburg Airways and Skyservice Business Aviation. The carrier's third Dash 8, 19.9-year-old S2-AGW (msn 4058), has been stored since May 2019. The carrier retired its fourth Dash 8 in 2018.
In a press release, the aircraft trader said the three aircraft would be disposed of together with "an extensive list of DHC8-Q400 spares and components". It did not outline the intended timeline for sale.
The De Havilland Aircraft of Canada turboprops were US-Bangla Airlines' first aircraft type when the privately-owned carrier launched in 2014, the ch-aviation fleets history module shows. However, in 2019 the airline decided to continue its growth with ATR - Avions de Transport Régional aircraft and has thus far added seven ATR72-600s. It has a further two units of the type on order from Avation, the ch-aviation fleets module indicates.
