Star Air (Denmark) (Copenhagen Kastrup) will induct five additional freighters over the next three years, parent firm Maersk has announced.
The Danish shipping giant said three B767-300Fs, to be leased from Air Transport Services Group's leasing arm Cargo Aircraft Management, will be operational in 2022 while two B777-Fs, ordered direct from Boeing, will be delivered around mid-2024.

This year, we have strengthened our integrated logistics offering through e-commerce logistics acquisitions, tech investments, expanding our warehouse footprint, and as a natural next step, we are now ramping up our air freight capacity, creating a broader network to cater even better for the needs of customers," Vincent Clerc, executive vice president and CEO of Ocean & Logistics, A.P. Moller - Maersk, said.
Star Air was established by A.P. Moller - Maersk in 1987. It currently operates an all-B767 fleet of 15 aircraft, including five B767-200(ERBDSF)s, six -PCs, one -SF, one B767-300ER(BDSF), and two B767-300Fs, on behalf of United Parcel Service and DHL Express, predominantly out of Cologne/Bonn and Leipzig/Halle.
