KaiserAir (KAI, Oakland International) launches a new members-only Hawaii Shuttle service on May 5 between its base at Oakland International in California and Kona, Hawaii.
The service will target home owners of the exclusive Big Island communities in Kukio, Hualalai, Mauna Kea Residences, Kohanaiki, and Mauna Lani. It will use an in-house 21-year-old B737-700, N737KA (msn 30740), which has been repainted in Hawaii Shuttle branding.
The new shuttle service will complement the existing Kona Shuttle (Oakland International), another member-only service which KaiserAir has operated twice-weekly since 2009 between Oakland and Kona, according to the company website. Flights are conducted with its in-house, 20-year-old B737-800, N733KA (msn 28643), according to Flightradar24 ADS-B data.
A Part 121 FAA certified carrier since 2011, KaiserAir is also a full-service aviation management company. It offers VIP charters to companies, sports teams, and other large groups. It also has a Cessna Citation CJ3, N415PP (msn 525B0013), based at Oakland.
