GOL Linhas Aéreas Inteligentes (G3, São Paulo Congonhas) took delivery of its first B737-800(BCF), although it has yet to re-register it in Brazil and induct it into service on behalf of e-commerce firm Mercado Livre.
N250GE (msn 34965) was operated by GOL in passenger configuration between 2007 and 2021 as PR-GTP, the ch-aviation fleets history module shows. The aircraft is owned by GECAS/AerCap and was converted into a freighter by GAMECO at Shanghai Pudong airport. It was then ferried back to Belo Horizonte Tancredo Neves via Guam International, Honolulu, Victorville, and San José Juan Santamaría over the course of July 15-22, 2022, according to Flightradar24 ADS-B data. It will be re-registered as PS-GFB in Brazil.
The aircraft sports a Mercado Livre livery and will be the first of at least six, and up to eleven, B737 freighters that GOL will operate exclusively on behalf of the e-commerce firm (which is known as Mercado Libre in Spanish-speaking countries in Latin America).
The Brazilian budget carrier also operates twenty-one B737-700s, thirty-four B737-8s, and eighty-nine B737-800s.
Mercado Livre's in-house air cargo platform, Meli Air, charters two B737-400(F)s from Brazil's Sideral Linhas Aéreas, and two B737-400(SF)s and two DC-9-30Fs from Mexico's Aeronaves TSM.
