Hunnu Air (MR, Ulaanbaatar) took delivery of its first ATR42-500 and inducted it into revenue service in July 2022.
JU-1803 (msn 641) was ferried from Belgrade Nikola Tesla to Aktau on July 2, 2022, already under its Mongolian registration, Skyliner Aviation reported. Although the aircraft is not tracked by ADS-B data websites, Hunnu Air posted a photo of the 16.9-year-old ex-KrasAvia (KV, Krasnoyarsk Yemelyanovo) turboprop operating a flight to Dalanzadgad on July 22. The airline has not filed schedules for the type and did not respond to ch-aviation's request for more details.
The ATR - Avions de Transport Régional turboprop was retired by the Russian carrier in January 2022, before international sanctions crippled Russia's ability to legally operate Western-built aircraft.
The ch-aviation fleets module shows the Mongolian carrier also operates two ATR72-500s (one of which is under maintenance at Mönchengladbach) and one E190.
