Asia Cargo Airlines (GM, Jakarta Halim) has chartered one of its five B737-300(F)s out to Indonesian logistics firm JNE Express with operations having begun on August 14, 2022.
PK-YGV (msn 24711) underwent maintenance at Bandung between March and mid-August 2022. It was ferried to Jakarta Soekarno-Hatta in JNE Express's livery on August 13 and began revenue operations the next day, Flightradar24 ADS-B data shows.
JNE Express, which also charters a B737-300(F) from Trigana Air Service (IL, Jakarta Halim), said earlier this year that as it projects 20-30% growth in e-commerce demand, and is therefore looking to add more aircraft for its exclusive use rather than just rely on chartered-in capacity.
Asia Cargo Airlines was formerly known as Tri-M.G. Intra Asia Airlines (Jakarta Halim) and operates five in-house B737-300(F)s. Its sister carrier, World Cargo Airlines (3G, Kuala Lumpur International), operates one B737-300(F), one B737-400(F), and two B737-800(BCF)s, while fellow Asia Cargo Network subsidiary, RGA-Black Stone Airlines (MI, Majalengka Kertajati International), operates two more B737-300(F)s. The group has plans to add A321 and A330 freighters going forward.
