Aero Contractors (N2, Lagos) is to resume scheduled commercial flights on December 5, the airline announced on social media.

It suspended operations indefinitely on July 30, citing a harsh operating environment and lack of available equipment. "As part of preparations, our website has been reactivated and flights uploaded to commence booking operations," it stated on November 28.

Aero Contractors has been under the receivership of the Asset Management Corporation of Nigeria (AMCON) since February 2016.

It had planned to resume commercial services by October 2022, pending an audit by the Nigerian Civil Aviation Authority (NCAA). The regulator has now confirmed to ch-aviation that the airline is in receipt of all necessary regulatory approvals, including a valid air operator's certificate (AOC).

The carrier's grounded fleet comprises one B737-400, one B737-500, one DHC-8-Q200, one DHC-8-Q300, and two DHC-8-Q400s (to operate for UmzaXpress), according to the ch-aviation fleets module.
