Icelandair (FI, Reykjavik Keflavik) has taken delivery of the first of its two converted B767-300ER(BCF)s after TF-ISH (msn 28883) was ferried, post conversion at Singapore Changi, via Cairo International to Reykjavik Keflavik over the course of September 17-22, 2022, at that time still under its US registration N28883, Flightradar24 ADS-B data shows. The aircraft was subsequently re-registered in Iceland and ferried to Shannon for repainting on November 14. It was positioned back to Keflavik on November 29, 2022, but has yet to be inducted into revenue service.
The 23.9-year-old jet was last operated in a passenger configuration by TUI fly (Germany) (X3, Hannover) and is owned by Titan Aircraft Investments, a joint venture of Bain Capital (a minority shareholder in Icelandair Group) and Titan Aviation Holdings, which is a subsidiary of Atlas Air Worldwide Holdings. Icelandair plans to add another B767-300(ERBCF) from the same lessor.
The ch-aviation fleets module shows that Icelandair continues to operate three B767-300ERs in passenger configuration, including two owned by its sister company Airco and one leased from GECAS. The airline's dedicated freighter fleet also comprises one B757-200(PCF) and one B757-200(PF).
