From December 15, 2022, Cinnamon Air (C7, Colombo International) is resuming scheduled services suspended due to Covid-19, the airline announced in a statement.
The domestic air taxi/seaplane operator has been operating only charter flights because of a drop-off in travel demand during the pandemic.
Thanks to an uptick in demand, schedules will resume this month from its hub at Colombo International and the island’s most picturesque locations, including Sigiriya, Castlereagh Reservoir, Trincomalee Harbour, Batticaloa, and Pasikuda. Koggala will also be served from Weerawila.
Cinnamon Air has aligned its schedules for easy connections with flights by SriLankan Airlines (UL, Colombo International) and other major international carriers at Colombo International Airport, according to Chief Executive Officer Sean Dwight.
He said Cinnamon Airlines’ flights were popular with tourists due to the experience of landing and taking off on water and low-level flying providing views of the Sri Lankan scenery.
According to the company website, Cinnamon Air operates three Cessna (single turboprop) 208B Grand Caravans, of which two are amphibians and one a fixed-gear aircraft.
