Brussels Airlines (SN, Brussels National) has outlined a schedule for the two CRJ900s it will wet lease from Ireland's CityJet (WX, Dublin International) during the Summer 2023 season.
The ch-aviation schedules module shows that the carrier will deploy the regional jets (its only two units in this market segment) on the following routes out of Brussels National:
- Berlin Brandenburg International (5x weekly between March 27 and June 30 and between September 4 and October 27),
- Birmingham, GB (5x weekly between July 3 and September 1),
- Billund (6x weekly starting March 26),
- Bordeaux Mérignac (12x weekly starting March 26),
- Copenhagen Kastrup (6x weekly starting March 26),
- Edinburgh (2x weekly starting March 26),
- Gothenburg Landvetter (weekly between April 1 and June 24 and between September 2 and October 28),
- Hamburg Helmut Schmidt (6x weekly starting March 26),
- Lyon St. Exupéry (5x weekly between March 27 and June 30 and between September 4 and October 27), and
- Vienna (2x weekly starting March 26, increased to daily between July 3 and September 3).
The recently announced deal signifies the return of regional jets and the resumption of CityJet wet-lease to Brussels Airlines after the COVID-caused hiatus. The Belgian airline will be CityJet's second long-term customer after SAS Scandinavian Airlines.
