Astro Air International (Subic Bay) plans to resume scheduled charter operations later this year with a fleet of two ex-Spirit of Manila Airlines (Angeles City Clark International) MD-83s RP-C7702 (MSN 49939) and RP-C8708 (MSN 49946). It had last operated in 2004 with an A300 wet-leased from Turkish charter carrier Fly Air (Istanbul Atatürk). While Astro Air's route network is not yet clear, its initial proving flights were operated from Angeles City Clark International via Laoag to Taipei Taoyuan.
