Dana Air (DAN, Lagos) says it has received one of its aircraft back from maintenance and will resume commercial flight operations accordingly.

The carrier's internet booking engine shows that it plans to operate two flights from Lagos to Abidjan using an MD-82. The airline's only aircraft of the type is 5N-BKI (msn 49482). Daily services from Lagos to Owerri and Port Harcourt Awolowo are scheduled to resume on March 16.

Dana Air also operates two MD-83s and two B737-300s. It said it would reactivate more aircraft soon, allowing it to increase the frequency of flights. The Nigerian carrier has been dormant since early March 2023 due to a lack of operational aircraft. The Nigerian Civil Aviation Authority praised the carrier's decision to comply with the maintenance requirements, even though it forced it to cancel all flights.
