Air Tahiti Nui (TN, Papeete) is adding a second sector through to Paris CDG on its existing seasonal Papeete-Seattle Tacoma International flights and making both a year-round addition to the timetables from June 13. The 3x weekly round trips will complement the airline's existing 5x weekly Papeete-Los Angeles International-Paris Charles de Gaulle flights.
"Pushing this service to Paris for the summer was a way for us to offer even more options for our client base in Tahiti to reach Paris," explained Mathieu Bechonnet, Air Tahiti Nui’s managing director. “Our decision to move this to a year-round service is made possible today thanks to the great response we are getting from the market."
While Air Tahiti Nui's B787-9 will compete with Air France (AF, Paris CDG) and Delta Air Lines (DL, Atlanta Hartsfield Jackson) on the Seattle-Paris sector, it remains the only operator connecting any airport in the US Northwest with French Polynesia. According to ch-aviation capacities data, Air Tahiti Nui competes with Air France on Papeete-LA-Paris. In addition to the United States and France, Air Tahiti Nui also operates to Auckland International and Tokyo Narita.
