Pradhaan Air Express (6P, Delhi International) is to share the capacity of its A320-200(P2F) with Teleport, the logistics venture of Capital A (formerly AirAsia Group), to boost its air cargo operations in the Indian and Southeast Asian markets, in particular between Delhi International and Chennai (India) and Hanoi Noi Bai International (Viet Nam) and Bangkok Suvarnabhumi (Thailand).
This is according to a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) signed by the parties on May 11 at the recent air cargo Europe 2023 trade fair in Munich.
"As a young cargo airline, we are looking for meaningful partnerships and collaborations. This partnership allows us to explore more successful collaborations in the market," commented Pradhaan Air Express founder and Chief Executive Officer Nipun Anand.
Teleport wants to use the converted A320 freighter to further increase its cargo network coverage and palletised capacity on critical sectors connecting India and Southeast Asia, reports the STAT Trade Times. "With the growing e-commerce market, the new partnership will help us to offer more capacity and consolidate our position in the market," explained Teleport Group Head Cargo Commercial Francis Antony.
Teleport was established in 2018 by consolidating the belly capacity of all AirAsia airlines under a single comprehensive network. Today, Teleport is an air logistics solutions provider, building its leadership in the Asian market with an extensive combined air logistics capacity network, comprising full freighters and passenger belly capacity of wide- and narrow-body AirAsia aircraft. Teleport also plans to deploy three A321 freighters into its fleet in the coming months.
Pradhaan Air Express was established in 2022 and received its Indian air operator's certificate (AOC) in September 2022. It operates one A320-200(P2F), VT-PNS (msn 2737), but plans to induct a second A320 converted freighter and two A321s towards year-end.
