"Berjaya's vision is to offer passengers a unique VIP experience, with the highest level of comfort and operational efficiency, while also focusing on sustainability. Our ATR aircraft equipped with the ATR HighLine collection will help us make the most preserved destinations accessible to our guests with the most comfortable, responsible and future-minded aircraft on the market," owner Tan Sri Vincent Tan said during the 2023 Paris Air Show.
Deliveries of the aircraft are planned for 2025 and 2026.
Berjaya Air currently operates one ATR42-500 and one ATR72-500, both in standard configurations, on a mix of charter services and scheduled 3x weekly Kuala Lumpur Subang-Pulau Redang flights. The carrier plans to rebrand itself to target the premium market with the new executive ATR72-600s. It will operate the turboprops out of Subang to focus on serving resorts owned by parent Berjaya Group.
