Placar Linhas Aéreas (PLS, São Paulo Campo de Marte) took delivery of its first E190-E2 on June 27, 2023, to be used for sports charters for Brazilian football teams, mainly sister company Palmeiras Sao Paulo.
PS-LMP (msn 19020015) was ferried from Alverca via Sal Amilcar Cabral International, Recife, and Foz do Iguaçu International to Sorocaba for final pre-induction maintenance. It was subsequently repositioned to São José dos Campos U.E. Stumpf International for delivery on June 26, and returned to Sorocaba the day after. It was originally delivered to Widerøe (WF, Bodø) in 2019 but subsequently returned and used by Embraer as a testbed. It was then acquired by financial conglomerate Crefisa Group, the parent company of the start-up carrier, as reflected in Embraer's fourth quarter 2022 data.
"The E2 is an extremely comfortable and efficient aircraft – perfect for football travel. We’re proud to be working with Embraer, another of Brazil’s global success stories, as we develop our own charter operation with Placar Linhas Aéreas S.A. Arriving in style on Brazil’s most modern jet is a great way for any team to start game day," Leila Pereira, the owner of Crefisa Group and President of the Palmeiras football club said.
Placar Linhas Aéreas began certification as an RBAC 121 charter operator in 2022, but has yet to secure its AOC.
