IAG International Airlines Group has firmed six B787-10 options for British Airways (BA, London Heathrow) with deliveries expected in 2025 and 2026. The holding also converted one A350-900 option for Iberia (IB, Madrid Barajas).

The holding simultaneously secured six B787-10 options for British Airways from Boeing.

"The Group has a range of financing options and will choose the most appropriate financing source closer to the delivery time," IAG said in a statement.

The ch-aviation fleets module shows that British Airways currently operates seven B787-10s, as well as twelve B787-8s and eighteen B787-9s. On top of the six firmed -10s, it is also awaiting delivery of five more of the type from an earlier order.

In turn, Iberia's A350 fleet comprises eighteen aircraft, including one second-hand ex-Hainan Airlines aircraft secured from AerCap. It had a further three A350-900s from Airbus prior to this conversion, as well as another ex-Hainan Airlines aircraft from AerCap. IAG holds a further fifteen A350-900 options.

Iberia does not operate any B787s, while British Airways' A350 fleet comprises fifteen A350-1000s.
