American Airlines (AA, Dallas/Fort Worth) has agreed to outsource some of its regional flights to SkyWest Airlines (OO, St. George Municipal) and its subsidiary ExpressJet Airlines (Atlanta Hartsfield Jackson). The two carriers will operate a total of 23 CRJ200s on behalf of American under the American Eagle brand as of November 15 with the full number of aircraft expected to be in operation by spring 2013. 12 Skywest CRJ-200s will operate from Los Angeles International while 11 Expressjet CRJ-200s will be based at Dallas/Fort Worth. American currently uses subsidiaries American Eagle Airlines (Dallas/Fort Worth) and Executive Airlines (Puerto Rico) (San Juan Luis Muñoz Marin) for the vast majority of its regional flights with the exception of 15 E140s operated by Chautauqua Airlines (Indianapolis International) from Chicago O'Hare.
