flynas (XY, Riyadh) has revealed its new Madinah base network, due to launch on December 1, 2023, with seven new routes from the Saudi city, including five international.

flynas will launch new services from Madinah to Abha and Tabuk domestically, and to Dubai International, Istanbul Sabiha Gökcen, Amman Queen Alia, Baghdad, and Ankara Esenboga internationally. It will also continue to operate its existing routes from the city to Jeddah International, Riyadh, Dammam, and Cairo International.

"The operations from our new operations base will start with two aircraft as a first stage, and we are planning to increase our operations and fleet size, and to launch more destinations to achieve our strategy," Chief Executive Bander Almohanna said in a press release.

Madinah will be flynas' fourth base in Saudi Arabia, after the country's traditional gateways Jeddah, Riyadh, and Damman. The LCC said it would primarily target year-round religious traffic to the Islamic holy city, offering an alternative to charter flights. Currently, only Saudia (SV, Jeddah International) has a crew base at the airport.

flynas currently operates nine A320-200s, thirty-nine A320-200Ns, and four A330-300s. It has a further sixty-six A320-200Ns and ten A321-200NY(XLR)s on firm order from Airbus. It is the first airline to have bases at four airports across Saudi Arabia. It has a long-term plan to grow its fleet to 250 aircraft.
