Hispania Airways (Granada) plans to wet-lease an A320-200 from Lithuanian ACMI specialist Avion Express (X9, Vilnius) from December to launch new scheduled flights from Granada. Hispania plans to launch operations on December 6 offering four weekly flights to Madrid Barajas as well as two weekly services each to Barcelona El Prat, London Gatwick, Paris CDG and Rome Fiumicino. Granada has lost most of its international routes with the exception of a seasonal summer service to Paris Orly by Transavia France (TO, Paris Orly). Hispania will however compete with Air Nostrum (YW, Valencia Manises) on the Madrid route and with Vueling Airlines (VY, Barcelona El Prat) on the Barcelona route with both competitors operating four to five daily flights on these key domestic routes. Hispania Airways has already announced Gran Canaria, Lisbon, Marrakech and either Tenerife Norte or Tenerife Sur as additional planned destinations.
