TUI Airways (BY, London Luton) retired its last B767-300ER on October 31, 2023, and ferried the aircraft to Istanbul Sabiha Gökcen the day after.
G-OBYF (msn 28208) operated its last revenue flight from Irakleion to Manchester International. Though the 25.4-year-old jet had been operated by TUI Airways and its predecessor airlines Thomson Airways and Britannia Airways since new, it also had brief stints with TUI fly (Germany) (X3, Hannover) and TUI fly Nordic (6B, Stockholm Arlanda). It was the last of a total of twenty B767-300(ER)s operated by TUI Airways throughout its history, although the type's fleet never peaked beyond the 14 units operated at a single time in 2014. The carrier also operated eight B767-200(ER)s, retiring them byin 2009, according to the ch-aviation fleets history module.
Following the retirement of the B767s, TUI Airways continues to operate eighteen B737-8s, thirty B737-800s, eight B787-8s, and five B787-9s.
The only remaining B767-300(ER) operated by TUI Group is flown by TUI fly (Netherlands) (OR, Amsterdam Schiphol) and due for retirement by early 2024.
