Emirates (EK, Dubai International) has ordered fifteen additional A350-900s from Airbus (AIB, Toulouse Blagnac) bringing its overall backlog for the type to 65 aircraft. In its announcement made during the Dubai Airshow 2023, Emirates said it expects its first A350 to deliver in August next year with the entire commitment due to be in place by early 2028.
Earlier this week, the carrier also ordered fifty-five B777-9s and thirty-five B777-8s from Boeing (BOE, Washington National) while at the same time updating its B787 backlog to now consist of fifteen B787-10s and twenty B787-8s.
