Ryanair (FR, Dublin International) has announced that it will open its third base in Croatia at Dubrovnik airport in early April 2024. The base, like the one at Zadar, will be operated only seasonally during the summers.
The carrier will base two B737-8-200s at the airport and launch 16 new routes after the opening of the base. The new services include:
- London Stansted (2x daily),
- Rome Fiumicino (10x weekly),
- Stockholm Arlanda, Helsinki Vantaa, Berlin Brandenburg International, Milan Bergamo, Paris Beauvais, Brussels Charleroi, Karlsruhe/Baden-Baden, Memmingen, Kraków John Paul II International, Manchester International, Düsseldorf, Poznan Lawica, Oslo Torp, and Wroclaw (4x weekly each).
The carrier will also increase the frequencies of its existing summer-only routes from Dublin International (from 4x weekly to 2x daily) and Vienna (from 3x weekly to 8x weekly). Ryanair does not currently serve Dubrovnik at all during the winter season.
The LCC's third Croatian base, at Zagreb Franjo Tuđman, is its only year-round destination in the country. During the summers, the carrier also serves Osijek, Pula, Rijeka, and Split in the country.
