Carpatair (V3, Timisoara) has retired its last Fokker 100, which was also the last unit of the type still in commercial service in Europe.
YR-FKB (msn 11369) operated its last revenue flight for the Romanian ACMI/charter carrier on November 5, flying from Genoa to Palermo International and then onwards to the airline's base at Timisoara. The Fokker Aircraft twinjet was then ferried to Woensdrecht on November 29 ahead of redelivery to an undisclosed new operator.
Having retired its penultimate Fokker 100, YR-FZA (msn 11395), in early September 2023, Carpatair has now completed its rollover to an Airbus fleet which currently entails two A319-100s.
The only remaining European operator of the Fokker 100 is the Slovak Government Flying Service (SSG, Bratislava), which has two in its fleet. The ch-aviation fleets module shows that almost half of all Fokker 100s remaining in service globally are currently operated by Australia's Alliance Airlines (QQ, Brisbane International) (24 aircraft) and Network Aviation (NWK, Perth International) (18 aircraft).
