CEIBA Intercontinental (C2, Malabo) has launched three times weekly B777-200(LR) service from Malabo to Madrid Barajas on October 4. The aircraft used for CEIBA's first route to Europe, CS-TQX (MSN 40668), is operated on its behalf by Portuguese ACMI carrier White (WI, Lisbon). It had originally been delivered to CEIBA Intercontinental in June 2011 but then initially mainly used on behalf of the government of Equatorial Guinea. Since the country is currently blacklisted by the European Union due to flight safety issues, the aircraft has then been transferred to White to be able to launch operations to Madrid.
