Envoy Air (MQ, Dallas/Fort Worth) will add 19 incremental Embraer regional jets, including eleven E175s and eight E175s, with deliveries due to start in the fourth quarter of 2024.
The American Airlines (AA, Dallas/Fort Worth) subsidiary clarified to ch-aviation that the order comprises a mix of new-built E175s due directly from Embraer and second-hand E170s and E175s added from other carriers.
The ch-aviation fleets module shows that Envoy Air currently operates thirty E170s and 108 E175s, all of them on behalf of American Airlines. All of the E175s are owned by American (although six were initially ordered by Republic Airways), the ch-aviation fleets ownership module reveals. The E170s include a mix of six aircraft owned by American with the remainder leased.
American Airlines has an outstanding order for ten new E175s for Envoy Air. The regional carrier also continues to add second-hand E170s. Including the new order, it plans to increase its fleet to forty-three E170s and 126 E175s. Envoy Air ended E145 operations in mid-2023.
