Hello Jets (H3, Bucharest Henri Coanda) has applied for a US Foreign Air Carrier Permit (FACP) and an exemption to begin scheduled and charter operations covering passengers, cargo, and mail to and from the United States.
The Romanian ACMI/charter carrier did not disclose any details of its planned US operations and did not respond to ch-aviation's request for comment.
Currently, Hello Jets operates one B737-700 and one B737-800. While the -700 is parked at Bucharest Baneasa, the -800 is operating for SmartLynx Airlines (6Y, Riga). The airline has recently returned another -800, which will be transferred to Denmark's Airseven, and issued an RFP for a new narrowbody aircraft.
