FLYYO (4D, Bucharest Henri Coanda) has resumed revenue operations after nearly 15 months, deploying its only A320-200 on a short-term ACMI contract with Tunisia's Nouvelair (BJ, Monastir).
YR-ADA (msn 3218) was ferried from Craiova to Tunis on April 5, 2024, and subsequently operated one rotation to each of Paris CDG and Lille Lesquin on behalf of the Tunisian carrier before being ferried back to Romania on April 6. While brief, the ad-hoc ACMI deal was a key moment for FLYYO after a difficult 2023.
The airline, then known as Aerro Direkt, suspended flight operations in early March 2023, when troubled Air Moldova ended an ACMI contract for its only A321-200, YR-ADI (msn 1366). The airline subsequently underwent an ownership change, rebranded as FLYYO, returned the A321 to Willis Lease Finance, and inducted the first A320 on lease from Air Lease Corporation. It expects a second of the type in late April or early May.
