Prima Air (United States of America) (Burbank) has opened a base at the Hong Kong Business Aviation Centre (HKBAC) at Hong Kong International, spearheading the company's push into the Asia-Pacific region.
"With the gradual increase in customers in Asia, Prima Air's expansion will provide VIP customers in the Asia-Pacific region with more comprehensive, luxurious, and complete private jet charter services," said Lina Tullberg, the company's founder and chief executive.
Prima Air is a charter company and also acts as an agent, booking flights on behalf of clients and relying on its wholly-owned sibling operator Pegasus Elite Aviation (Van Nuys) to operate the flights. Prima Air Group LLC acquired Pegasus in early 2023. In addition to the new Hong Kong base, Prima Air/Pegasus has bases in Florida and New York in addition to its primary Los Angeles base.
After its acquisition of Pegasus, Prima Air now owns more than 70,000 square feet (6,500 sqm) of hangar space at Burbank and Van Nuys airports. The fleet includes a B737-700(BBJ), two Gulfstream Aerospace G650s, ten GVs and GIVs, and a Bombardier Aerospace Global 5000.
