Hala Air (HG, Tripoli Mitiga) has taken delivery of its first Learjet 60, 5A-HMB (msn 60-274), after it was ferried from Nuremberg to Tripoli Mitiga on June 7, 2024, already under its Libyan registration.
The jet was formerly operated by Germany's Aero-Dienst as D-CSIM. Maltese aviation news outlet MAviO says it will be repositioned to Malta International for maintenance once Libyan certification and registration procedures have been concluded.
Hala Air also operates a single Challenger 850, 5A-UAD (msn 8087), which appears to have been parked at Lahore International since late February 2024.
5A-HMB was the only Learjet 60 in Aero-Dienst's fleet. The German air ambulance specialist continues to operate two Learjet 60XRs on behalf of the ADAC Luftrettung medevac service, as well as other aircraft types.
