Part 135 certified air carrier Air New England (Boston) has acquired a Cessna 510 Citation. The 16 year-old aircraft is registered as N1RS (msn 510-0105). Air New England says the introduction of the Citation 510 spearheads its expansion into business jet operations.
Federal Aviation Administration records show the Hotel Sierra Group LLC, a Maine consulting entity, owns the aircraft. ch-aviation fleets data reveals the aircraft was previously registered as N245DR, with former operators including El Pueblo Aviation and Trans Air Leasing.
According to its website, Air New England has been providing air charter services since 2011, relying on a small fleet of turboprops, including a Beech (twin turboprop) King Air registered as N6207F (msn LJ-1017) and Beech (twin piston) Baron B-58 registered as N100JP (msn TH-1683). N1RS is the carrier's first jet aircraft.
