Batik Air Malaysia (OD, Kuala Lumpur International) is using at least four aircraft wet-leased from sibling carrier Batik Air (ID, Jakarta Soekarno-Hatta), according to ch-aviation research. Three Indonesian-registered B737-800s have recently ferried up to the Malaysian operator. They include PK-LZZ (msn 39821), which started flights on May 30, PK-LBK (msn 39882) on June 4, and PK-LBS (msn 39827) on June 14.

A fourth Batik Air aircraft, an A330-300 registered as PK-LEL (msn 1820), has been flying for Batik Air Malaysia since late February, initially on long-haul ops and more recently between Kuala Lumpur and Kota Kinabalu.

Batik Air Malaysia has 41 aircraft in its fleet and uses four different aircraft types. However, the ch-aviation fleets module shows 11 of those aircraft are out of service for various reasons, including one A330-300, six ATR72-600s, one B737-8, and three B737-800s. The Indonesian wet lease arrangements help cover some of the AOG issues.
