Emirates (EK, Dubai International) is not interested in growing its business jet fleet, which consists of one ACJ319-100 and two Phenom 100EVs, Senior Vice-President (Emirates Executive) Nabil Sultan al-Murr told Private Jet Card Comparisons during an event in Miami.
The airline inducted its only bizliner, A6-CJE (msn 4822) directly from Airbus in 2011 and it has been available for commercial charters since 2017. The two Phenom 100EVs were delivered in 2018 directly from Embraer Executive Jets to Emirates Flight Training Academy as training aircraft. While they have been available for commercial charters since 2023, Sultan al-Murr said this is only a marginal business for the group as, given their limited range and luggage capacity, demand for them is low. Emirates would therefore rather focus on providing high-quality service to business passengers on its mainline aircraft rather than growing a dedicated executive division.
He also said that with the high number of dedicated business aviation operators based in Dubai, Emirates deemed this sector well served already.
