Libyan Express (LB, Misurata) is planning to induct its first turboprop aircraft, namely an ATR42-500.

The charter specialist posted a job advertisement for ATR42-500-rated pilots on June 30. The development was confirmed later by Maltese aviation website, MAviO News, which reported that the Libyan carrier was in "final stages" of acquiring the ATR - Avions de Transport Régional aircraft.

Libyan Express did not respond to ch-aviation's request for confirmation of its plans.

The ch-aviation fleets module shows the airline currently operates one B737-300 and one B737-500 on charter flights out of Tripoli Mitiga. It also operates at least two Beech 1900D King Air 200s, including one for passenger charters and one for air ambulance flights.
