Elit'Avia (EAV, Ljubljana) has secured a San Marino Air Operator's Certificate (AOC) for its newly established company Elit'Avia International SM s.r.l. dba Elit'Avia International SM (EAA, Rimini), which subsequently added the group's first Gulfstream Aerospace G700.
The Slovenian-headquartered parent said in a statement on July 17 that the new AOC would enable it "to extend our global reach, offering enhanced operational flexibility and efficiency for our clients worldwide".
The operator took delivery of G700 T7-AVNTG (msn 87011) on July 14-15. The brand new ultra-long-range business jet was ferried from Savannah International via Aarhus to Izmir Adnan Menderes. The only other aircraft currently active on the San Marino AOC, Global Express XRS T7-AAA (msn 9283), has been privately operated by Elit'Avia since 2015.
Elit'Avia International SM s.r.l. is the company's second Sammarinese unit. The first, Elit'Avia San Marino, was originally certified in 2017 but its AOC was subsequently closed at some point. It operates a single G650.
The company did not respond to ch-aviation's request for clarification as to when and why the original San Marino AOC was put on hold.
Elit'Avia does not have a Slovenian AOC. The company also operates Malta's Elit'Avia International, currently with nine business jets on its AOC (one G450, one G550, two G650s, one GVII-G500, one Global 5000, one Global 6000, one Global 7500, and one Global Express) plus a single B747-400(BDSF) operated for Mesk Air.
