Avcon Jet (AOJ, Vienna) has taken delivery of its first Challenger 3500 super mid-size business jet, ch-aviation research has revealed.

OE-HOZ (msn 21008) was delivered to the carrier directly from Bombardier Business Aircraft (Montréal Trudeau) on July 1, 2024, flying from Montréal Trudeau to Vienna already under its Austrian registration. After a test flight around Vienna and a ferry flight to Budapest, it was deployed for the first time under Avcon Jet's 'AOJ' code on July 12, flying from the Hungarian capital to Toulon and Palma de Mallorca.

The Austrian aircraft management and charter company currently has 37 aircraft registered in Austria including one Challenger 300 and two Challenger 350s, as well as one Challenger 604 and one Challenger 850. Its Avcon Jet Malta (VCJ, Malta International) unit does not operate any Challengers, although Avcon Jet San Marino (VAJ, Rimini) does, deploying one Challenger 601-3A and one Challenger 850.
