National Airlines (N8, Orlando Sanford) has announced a plan to order four new-build B777-200Fs from Boeing with deliveries scheduled for late 2025 and 2026.
"This demonstrates our commitment to offering efficient, resourceful, and modern air freight services to support our global customers' increasing transportation demands. The order affirms our fleet growth plan as we enter into the next chapter of National," Chairman and President Christopher Alf said in a statement during the 2024 Farnborough Air Show.
The charter specialist currently relies exclusively on its fleet of B747 freighters for its cargo operations. The ch-aviation fleets module shows it operates six B747-400(BCF)s, one B747-400ERF, and two B747-400FSCDs. Earlier this year, the airline said it was looking to add more B747s but was also evaluating alternative fleet plans due to the scarcity of the quadjets.
National Airlines confirmed that the B777-200Fs will not replace any of the B747s and will be used to grow the fleet.
Its fleet also comprises one A330-200, one A330-300, and one B757-200 for passenger charters.
