Widerøe (WF, Bodø) has bought two used Dash 8-400s from De Havilland Aircraft of Canada (DHC, Toronto Downsview), an announcement made during the ongoing 2024 Farnborough Airshow said. The transaction was conducted via Widerøe Asset AS.

Neither the origin of the aircraft nor their delivery dates were disclosed. De Havilland has not manufactured any new Dash 8-400s since June 2021 when D2-TFF (msn 4632) rolled off the production line for TAAG Angola Airlines (DT, Luanda 4 De Fevereiro).

As such, the Norwegian domestic carrier operates ten Dash 8-400s, alongside two Dash 8-300s, three Dash 8-200s, and twenty-three Dash 8-100s. In terms of jets, it runs three E190-E2s.
