flyCAA (BU, Kinshasa N'Djili) took delivery of its first B767-200(SF) freighter at Kinshasa N'Djili late on July 22.
The 39-year-old 9S-PSB (msn 23141) arrived on the flight number of US-based Air Transport Services Group cargo subsidiary Air Transport International, where it formerly flew under the registration N791AX. The aircraft was last owned by Cargo Aircraft Management, according to ch-aviation fleets data, and was ferried from Miami International on July 20 via Bridgetown (Barbados) and Dakar Blaise Diagne International (Senegal) to Kinshasa.
flyCAA has not responded to requests for comment.
The airline currently operates an all-Airbus and ATR - Avions de Transport Régional fleet of three A320-200s and two A330s (one A330-200 and one A330-300) - all leased from Carlyle Group - and an in-house fleet of two owned ATR72-500s and two ATR72-500(F)s leased from Aergo Capital, according to the ch-aviation fleets module.
According to its website, flyCAA currently operates scheduled passenger services to 14 domestic destinations throughout the Democratic Republic of Congo (DRC).
