easyJet (London Luton) has extended dry-lease contracts for all ten A319-100s on lease Aergo Capital "to bolster its near-term fleet plan requirements, as it transitions over to new technology aircraft".
The ch-aviation fleets ownership module shows that all ten aircraft are of 2008 vintage and have been operated by easyJet since new. Four are currently on the easyJet UK AOC and the remaining six on the easyJet Europe AOC. The LCC does not have any other aircraft on lease from Aergo Capital.
easyJet operates eighty-three A319s in total through the British and Austrian AOCs. Its fleet (including easyJet Switzerland) also comprises 179 A320-200s, sixty-nine A320-200Ns, and sixteen A321-200NX. The group has orders for a further 131 A320neo and 168 A321neo, with deliveries planned through 2034. easyJet said in October 2023 that the new-generation aircraft would eventually replace all A319s, although it did not provide a specific timeline for the rollover.
The airline did not mention any specific impact of delivery delays or other supply chain constraints in its quarterly report for the three-month period ending June 30, 2024. easyJet only publishes detailed reports twice a year; in its last report for the six-month period ending March 31, 2024, it said it expected to take all 16 aircraft planned for delivery in the current financial year but only nine in October 2024-September 2025 period. "easyJet retains the ability to utilise its existing fleet of A319 aircraft to maintain its base fleet plan despite FY25 deliveries being reduced," the carrier said then.
easyJet's A320neo and A321neo are powered exclusively by CFM International LEAP-1A engines.
