Bees Airlines (E8, Bucharest Henri Coanda) has announced that it will enter the scheduled passenger market in August 2024 with international services out of two airports in Romania and one in Moldova.
According to the carrier's internet booking engine, its initial scheduled network will comprise the following routes from Bucharest Henri Coanda:
- Irakleion (2x weekly from August 5),
- Prague Václav Havel (3x weekly from August 23),
- Verona (2x weekly from August 27),
- Tel Aviv Ben Gurion (2x weekly from September 1), and
- Karlsruhe/Baden-Baden (2x weekly from September 23).
The airline will also connect Suceava with both Tel Aviv (weekly from September 7) and Karlsruhe/Baden-Baden (2x weekly starting on October 11), and Chisinau International with Verona (2x weekly from August 27).
"We've planned other surprise destinations, which we will announce to our passengers at the right time," chief executive Viktor Antohe said.
Bees Airlines currently operates a single A320-200 and wet-leases another unit of the type from Fly2Sky (F6, Sofia), deploying them on leisure charter flights. The airline told ch-aviation earlier this year that it plans to eventually transition to A321-200s but is currently restrained by the lack of available aircraft.
