Nepal Airlines (RA, Kathmandu) plans to take delivery of six Chinese turboprops from next year to allow it to expand its domestic operations where private Nepali competitors currently account for the vast majority of all flights. The Nepalese government is in talks with China about an agreement for the new aircraft that will include financing for the aircraft. While the exact split of orders is yet unknown, Nepal Airlines plans to order a mixture of Yunshuji Y-7s and 19-seat Y12s. Nepal Airlines currently only has limited domestic operations with two DHC-6s.
