Beijing Airlines (BJN, Beijing Capital) has taken delivery of its first G650ER directly from Gulfstream Aerospace (GLF, Savannah International), ch-aviation research reveals. It is the operator's first non-bizliner business jet.
B-656V (msn 6573) was ferried from the manufacturer's facility at Appleton Outgamie County Regional via Jeju to Tianjin over the course of July 15-16, 2024. The aircraft was then deployed under Beijing Airlines' 'BJN' code on a flight from Tianjin to Ordos Ejin Horo and return on July 20.
Beijing Airlines is the executive-jet subsidiary of Air China (CA, Beijing Capital). Its fleet currently includes one ACJ319-100 and one B737-700(BBJ). The airline also operates three B737-800s in standard, 167-seat configuration for Air China.
Air China holds a 51% stake in Beijing Airlines, the other shareholders being Beijing Holdings Group Company (18%), Beijing State-Owned Assets Management Company (18%), and Zhongda UBS Investment Company (13%).
