Azul Conecta (2F, Jundiaí) has announced the launch of a new fractional ownership programme for its fleet of Cessna (single turboprop) C208EX Grand Caravans.
The regional subsidiary of Azul Linhas Aéreas Brasileiras (AD, São Paulo Viracopos) will allow customers to acquire a stake in its aircraft in return for guaranteed availability for charter flights. The airline will handle crew staffing, dispatch, maintenance, hangarage, and other services.
Azul Conecta currently operates twenty-seven C208s on regional feeder routes on behalf of Azul. Three aircraft are configured exclusively for cargo operations.
The airline also said that starting in September it will allow the members of its frequent flyer programme Azul Fidelidade to redeem their miles for the charter of Azul Conecta's C208EX aircraft.
