Canada's Keewatin Air (KEW, Winnipeg International), a fixed-wing air ambulance service provider in Nunavut and Manitoba, has added its first PC-24 to its fleet.
C-FMBO was registered to the airline on July 30, 2024, the Canadian Civil Aircraft Register shows. It officially arrived at Winnipeg International on August 4 on a flight from Thunder Bay, as the first fully dedicated air ambulance PC-24 in Canada.
The Pilatus Aircraft (PCH, Buochs) jet can operate on grass, gravel, dirt, and snow and can take off from short runways. “The Pilatus PC-24 will not only give our teams of professionals an enhanced level of safety, efficiency, and knowledge while providing above standard medical care, but also an even higher level of commitment, care, and attention for all patients,” the company said in a statement.
The Canadian registry shows Keewatin Air's fleet comprises 25 aircraft, including sixteen Beech (twin turboprop) King Air B200s, four Cessna 560s, and four PC-12s.
Keewatin Air is a wholly-owned subsidiary of Exchange Income, alongside PAL Airlines (Canada), Perimeter Aviation, and Bearskin Airlines.
