Avcon Jet San Marino (VAJ, Rimini) has reintroduced a Challenger 604 and added its first-ever Global 5500 to its Sanmarinese AOC.
T7-SAHIN (msn 5590) was registered in San Marino on August 1, 2024. It was then ferried from Moline via Bangor International to London Biggin Hill. The 20.1-year-old Bombardier Business Aircraft large jet operated its first flight under the new AOC on August 4 to Ankara Esenboga and Dalaman.
Avcon Jet San Marino operated one Challenger 604 between 2016 and 2019, and then another one between 2020 and 2022. Its Bombardier fleet includes one Challenger 601-3A and one Challenger 650.
The operator has also inducted its first Global 5500, T7-NMAYY (msn 60007), a 4.8-year-old jet transferred from Switzerland's Albinati Aeronautics (LUC, Geneva) - for which it was the only one of the type - and which was first active under its new registration on July 26, 2024, flying from Zurich to Rotterdam.
Avcon Jet San Marino also has one Global 5000 and one Global Express XRS on its AOC. The operator's fleet also comprises one B737-700(BBJ), three G200s, and one HA-420 Elite S.
Parent Avcon Jet operates a larger fleet of Challengers and Globals but only one 604 and no Global 5500s. The group's third AOC, Avcon Jet Malta, operates no Challengers and no Global 5500s (although it has other Global variants).
